It is impossible to reach the village by foot as before, you will have to navigate the flooded roads by boat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 7 March 2022, the third stage of the agroforestry project began with about twenty inhabitants of the village of Mahuizo and a guest from the village of Nueva Florida. It was with a team of 5 people from Envol Vert that the 6 days of training were given.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to note that 2 new major axes were discussed :<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><ul style=\"--awb-iconcolor:#ea773d;--awb-line-height:23.8px;--awb-icon-width:23.8px;--awb-icon-height:23.8px;--awb-icon-margin:9.8px;--awb-content-margin:33.6px;\" class=\"fusion-checklist fusion-checklist-1 fusion-checklist-default type-icons\"><li class=\"fusion-li-item\" style=\"\"><span class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa-angle-right fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first is <\/span><b>economic alternatives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The aim was to show that there are economic alternatives to cutting wood in particular. Two proposals for processing products from the nursery were presented: the first, a <em>camu-camu<\/em> jam made with the inhabitants (with the sterilisation of the containers); the second is <em>aguardiente<\/em> (alcoholic drink) made from sugar cane via a video from a local producer based in Chazuta in the region of San Martin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"fusion-li-item\" style=\"\"><span class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa-angle-right fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second is<\/span><b> citrus grafting (vegetative reproduction method).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Grafting consists of implanting the tissues of a plant (e.g. bud), taken from another plant. The aim is for the plant to continue to grow by becoming one with the first plant and to take on its characteristics in order to be stronger, more productive and more durable. The practical part took place in the participants&#8217; plots to encourage them to continue practising and master the technique perfectly!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:3%;margin-bottom:3%;width:100%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"--awb-height:20px;--awb-amount:20px;--awb-sep-color:rgba(224,222,222,0);border-color:rgba(224,222,222,0);border-top-width:1px;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"--awb-text-transform:none;\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In parallel, the usual but equally important activities continued. <\/span><b>Diagnostics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which are carried out individually with each farmer in anticipation of designs (to choose where to put each plant).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was also a lot of<\/span><b> organisational work in the nursery<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in which the children took part and which made it possible to take stock of what had worked well and what had not, in order to identify mistakes and avoid making them again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, training courses on <\/span><b>compost and micro-organisms <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were held with a group that is always very active.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the end of a beautiful project which will be concluded (in beauty) at the end of April&#8230; but that will be for a future SAF Project article&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":43535,"template":"","fils_d_actu_categ":[1511],"class_list":["post-43540","fil_d_actu","type-fil_d_actu","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","fils_d_actu_categ-yanayacu-maquia-peru-en"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/fil_d_actu\/43540","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/fil_d_actu"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/fil_d_actu"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/fil_d_actu\/43540\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/43535"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=43540"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"fils_d_actu_categ","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/envol-vert.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/fils_d_actu_categ?post=43540"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
