The tropical dry forest is one of the most threatened ecosystems in Colombia<\/a>, and its conservation is only possible with the active participation of local communities. That\u2019s why our Tropical Dry Forest (Bosque Seco Tropical) project has adopted a strategic approach to strengthen community knowledge about biodiversity and promote conservation actions<\/b> led by the inhabitants of several communities in Ovejas and Toluviejo (Sucre) and Becerril (Cesar). <\/p>\n

As part of this initiative, we have launched a training program to empower rural communities to independently monitor the biodiversity of their forests<\/b>. These activities not only generate key information about the local fauna and flora but also foster a sense of belonging and commitment to conservation, strengthening the relationship between communities and nature.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
