10 years already… <\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>We all hope 2021 will be the year of many victorious battles.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nIn 2020, the collective awareness the unprecedented pandemic could have triggered did not gain the momentum we had hoped for. <\/strong><\/p>\nNevertheless Envol Vert is still determined to act fiercely.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>2021 anyway marks our 10-year-anniversary along 10 years of evolution and perpetual improvement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>- <\/i><\/span>\n
From our projects in Colombia and Peru, and more recently in France,<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>- <\/i><\/span>We went from a 100%-volunteer organization to an NGO alive and kicking thanks to its volunteers,<\/em><\/div><\/li>
- <\/i><\/span>Our strategies also changed and diversified, from actions on the field to awareness campaigns,\u00a0 to the unanimous decision to engage in advocacy, we have now many options to publicly expose\u00a0 those who are destroying our ecosystems in total impunity.<\/em><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>
All that is Envol Vert and we are all very proud of it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>This is the reason why we felt the need for a new logo which would better represent our identity, mirroring our evolution. <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>This identity aims at showing and expressing our new offensive approach.<\/strong><\/h3>\nAt Envol Vert, we call it our second leg<\/span> o<\/span>n which we stand strong or the other wing of our butterfly.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nIn addition to our field projects in which we offer local solutions to fight against deforestation, we now boldly address the root causes and firmly call those responsible for this deforestation out. Our outrage is today translated into actions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span>Our first strong action involves the French food retailer group Casino. After a year of relentless investigation, and together with the support of many French and international organizations, Envol Vert is bringing forth a legal action against the leader of food retailers\u00a0 in Brazil and Colombia for failing to comply with the law on \u201cthe duty of vigilance of parent companies.\u201d Yes! The Casino group is selling, in its stores of South America, goods produced from deforestation. This must end now!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>This is proof that a small NGO like ours can have a significant impact. We know there is still a long way to go, yet we have no other choice but to keep on fighting.<\/span><\/p>\nThis is why, more than ever, we need you, your encouragement, your outrage, your skills, or your financial support.
