Daisy Tarrier has been working for 14 years on environmental management and international solidarity issues. She is a specialist in subjects related to forestry, biodiversity and the benefits nature can provide.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s now 7 years since she began developing her experience in Latin America in forest management, most notably in FSC certification and has contributed to multiple certification audits of parcels of Amazonian woodland.<\/p>\n
She has also worked with land plots dedicated to non-timber production (Brazil nuts, rubber). She has clocked up many consultancy projects for NGOs, well known research organisations and the United Nations Development Programme (UNPD) evaluating projects encompassing forest conservation, productive, sustainable development, building of quality activities and the launch of research projects examining sectors with a high environmental impact across the supply chain from producer to buyer and which aim to change production methods. She is also a member, since 2012, of the Groupe National pour les For\u00eats Tropicales and one of the authors of their 2013 publication: \u201cTropical forests: progress and new challenges. Which way forward for French organisations ?\u201d<\/p>\n
Founder of the NGO Envol Vert in 2011, she co-ordinates and monitors, in Peru and Colombia, forest conservation and agroforestry projects which the charity leads together with local communities and underprivileged populations. This gives her an holistic view of the environmental and social risks linked to development as well a technical analyst\u2019s overview of the projects themselves.<\/p>\n
A Social Sciences professional, she has also been schooled in the agroecology of Latin America and conflict management of tropical ecosystem resources (SupAgro Montpellier). A longtime student of what links \u201cBusiness and biodiversity\u201d, she also contributed to the WWF publication in 2010 of \u201cBusiness and the loss of biodiversity\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>
