Conservation & biodiversity Manager – Peru
Berenice, a graduate in Environmental Engineering, has been dedicated to forest conservation and collaborative work with local communities. From a very young age, she showed a deep passion for protecting nature. Her professional experience includes activities in various regions of the Amazon, where she has worked in conservation projects, land management, community relations, collective action and environmental education with a multidisciplinary approach.
Passionate about topics such as resilience thinking (Stockholm Institute), social-ecological systems and common goods (Elinor Ostrom). Current member of the International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC), in 2023, she took on a new challenge as Conservation and Biodiversity Referent at Envol Vert Peru, where the core purpose of the projects is to seek the preservation of forests and offer sustainable economic alternatives for the populations. From her role, she collaborates with local teams, Peruvian and French volunteers, focusing on achieving a positive impact on both communities and ecosystems in the Peruvian Amazon.
