President

Holding two masters degrees in Plant ecology, sustainable development and biodiversity management, Boris worked for five years at WWF-France as a forest conversion programme officer on deforestation issues related to soy, palm oil and paper, of which France is a major user.

Founder of Envol Vert, he has developed numerous campaigns on the impact of beef on deforestation, such as Leather is giving the forest a hiding, by getting the French leader in footwear to commit to no longer using leather from deforestation. He created the Forest Footprint, an online tool to measure one’ impact on the forest. In Colombia, he founded the ColomBIOdiversidad festival in Medellin and coordinates the association’s projects on the Caribbean coast around the Maya Nut, the magic tree, and agroforestry.

As an activist and field worker, Boris has worked as an environmental educator, participated in projects to protect the environment in New Zealand and Indonesia and helped the efforts to restore the natural territories of indigenous communities in Ecuador and Peru. As a consultant, he supports companies or public actors in the implementation of their Zero Deforestation policy, especially by improving traceability, developing responsible projects and assessing the risk level of their supplies. He also supports investigation missions for NGOs. In 2022, his professional and activist path led him to the position of Director of the NGO Mighty Earth in France. As a result, his commitment to Envol Vert evolved: after a time as a board member, he is now the organization’s president.

Based on a farm in Castres, he is building an eco-environment project that combines cultural events and agroforestry with the production of live poultry for individuals.
