SPYGEN is a scientific and applied research laboratory specialising in the inventory of aquatic and terrestrial biodiversity using environmental DNA (eDNA). These technologies, based on the search for DNA traces in the environment, improve the monitoring of rare or discrete species and aim to strengthen environmental monitoring operations on a global scale. With environmental DNA, it is now possible to study all biodiversity, from bacteria to large mammals, from a single sample of the environment under study. SPYGEN offers analytical services for the study of biodiversity from water, soil, honey or faeces samples. SPYGEN also has a division dedicated to research and conservation activities, with the aim of constantly improving the performance of its technologies and using them to protect remarkable species and ecosystems. SPYGEN supports its partners in environmental monitoring and assessment projects.
