The Agroindustrial Cooperative of Cocoa of Upper Huallaga was originally a society of producers called ‘Association of Cocoa Producers of Upper Huallaha founded on August 15, 2009. It has been recognized as a producer cooperative since 2016.  It numbered 363 members working on 5 zones which include the regions of Huánuco, San Martin and Ucayali in 2018. The Cooperative promotes the production and marketing of UTZ certified, organic and fair trade cocoa. It has 5 collection centers strategically located in the localities of Tingo María, Aucayacu, Nuevo Progreso, Tocache and San Alejandro.
