Coordinator of the ConBosque project – Peru & Colombia
Kaylee is a forestry engineer by training and at heart, with 7 years’ experience in coordinating conservation projects and the sustainable productive development of farming and farming communities.
She had to deal with cultural differences and machismo, which she was able to overcome through her actions, by demonstrating her skills and earning the respect of the participants in the projects she led. She is particularly proud that the projects she has been involved in have empowered women and the elderly. Her philosophy is to lead by example and respect all opinions: there is always something new to learn.
She has a deep respect for nature and the people who live in and manage its resources. She sees them as the key to Peru becoming a global benchmark for conservation and sustainable development projects.
