During the event, the Envol Vert team presented the NGO and its new program, “Con Bosque”. They also organized games to raise awareness about agroforestry with coffee and cocoa for producers and offered an environmental education space for children from the different communities, with drawings and a “Memory” game showing the different species of the Bosque de Protección Pui Pui.
Alex Caballero Guillermo, a coffee producer who has been working with Envol Vert for more than five years, shared his experience with the implementation of agroforestry systems on his land and the effects that are already being noticed.
In the afternoon, we exchanged with local authorities on the topic of conservation, particularly on fire risk prevention and the opening of new protected natural areas. The next meeting will take place in the upper areas of the BPPP in 2026.
