The Envol Vert Tingo Maria team organised another day of exchange for the groups of participants from the villages of La Esperanza and Pueblo Nuevo, but also extended the invitation to the groups from Anda and Arabe. This way, everyone could take advantage of the training in agroforestry, economic alternatives and livestock (fish farming) provided by the Research Institute of the Peruvian Amazon (IIAP).

The training took place on 22 October in the town of Saipai, where after welcoming the participants, the first part of the training was given by the engineer Luz Balcázar on the advances in research into the cultivation of cocona, papaya and Vasconcellea. Then the biologist Sergio Panduro on his research on Amazonian fish with emphasis on the breeding of Paco and Lisa (two Amazonian fish) and finally the engineer Andi Eugenio on the management of forestry systems, agroforestry and vegetative propagation of forestry species by cuttings in sub-irrigation chambers.

The second part took place in the research fields of the IIAP, we discovered papaya associated with banana, plots of agroforestry systems with quina, chuncho pine and cocoa, guaba and cocoa, leucaena and cocoa. Finally, the training on paco breeding around the ponds was reinforced in a practical way, observing the different specimens.

The day ended with a common lunch and a small souvenir for the participants and exhibitors, closing a successful day with many new knowledge gained during the day for the project participants.

Envol Vert is grateful for the support received by IIAP and we hope to repeat these events, which allow the exchange of experiences between institutions and participants but also encourage new learning, bringing research centers closer to development projects.
