Created in 1977, the Pisba National Natural Park covers 45,000 hectares spread from 2000 to 3800 meters above sea level. This site is home to various ecosystems representative of the páramo and the high Andean forest, one of the largest ecological corridors in Colombia (Tota-Pisba-Cocuy), a great diversity of fauna and flora and it is at the birth of the entire water network. of the region.
The park is collaborating with Envol Vert on the project to upgrade a traditional wheat sector in Socota, where it will be a question of jointly defining the ecological corridors to be favored and the trees to be favored. They will also help to set up training courses on biodiversity and nurseries.
