The UNAS (Universidad Nacional Agraria de la Selva), a university located in Tingo Maria (Peru), is at the heart of the Cacao Agroforestier project. An ally of choice for the project’s influence within the region, the UNAS trains the majority of agronomists and forest engineers and has a national reputation. It acts as an intermediary between the organization and other local projects for the sharing of information and the technical improvement of the project. This partnership is also centered around possible alliances for a joint investigation towards the ecological monitoring of plots and the conservation of threatened species.
