Country Manager Colombia
After studying political science in France, an exchange program in Mexico, and a master’s degree in urban and rural development in London, Laura flew to Colombia in 2011.
She first worked for an NGO on sustainable housing projects with vulnerable communities in different regions of Colombia, and then moved on to consulting on land planning and multi-actor governance with international institutions. She then worked for several years with the Bogota City Hall on cultural heritage, natural heritage and citizen participation. At the same time, she teaches at several universities to keep a foot in the academic world, passing on and enriching her thoughts on the evolution of cities and the countryside in Latin America.
After a period of confinement, a baby and a sabbatical year, she decided to get back to what was close to her heart: associations and the protection of our living environment. That is how she naturally joins Envol Vert Colombia as Country Manager in 2025, putting her experience at the service of biodiversity and local communities for fairer and more sustainable rural development.
