My name is Sabrina SERRES. As a project leader within the Au Pré de Mes Arbres scheme supported by Envol Vert, the El-Ma garden has benefited from invaluable support in terms of knowledge, resources and technical support to develop its agroforestry practices.
Thanks to this support, I have integrated sustainable and resilient agroforestry techniques into my management model. Exchanges and collaborations with other farmers with projects, as well as the trust placed in me by the Envol Vert team, strengthened my choices and my motivation to continue along this path. Enriched by Envol Vert’s network and partners, my approach to biodiversity, soil management and water resources has been considerably improved, particularly in terms of taking into account the wet meadow where the El-Ma garden is located. Thanks to this support, I’ve been able to broaden my career prospects by adopting organic farming for the production of fruit, wicker for basketry and medicinal plants in agroforestry, and creating a welcoming space with a variety of atmospheric qualities for a wide public as part of an inclusive approach. This partnership enables me to put into practice my belief that the environment is essential to our well-being, and to put into practice resilient practices while sharing my knowledge and experience. What’s more, the creation of the Jardin d’El-Ma adds to the quality of the landscape through a different approach in the Lauragais region of Haute-Garonne.
Envol Vert is a breeding ground for concrete ideas and partnerships in favour of sustainable development, and their support helps to encourage a wide range of innovative and creative initiatives for a more sustainable future, promoting farming and projects on different scales in the region.
