10 years already…
We all hope 2021 will be the year of many victorious battles.
In 2020, the collective awareness the unprecedented pandemic could have triggered did not gain the momentum we had hoped for.
Nevertheless Envol Vert is still determined to act fiercely.
2021 anyway marks our 10-year-anniversary along 10 years of evolution and perpetual improvement:
All that is Envol Vert and we are all very proud of it.
This is the reason why we felt the need for a new logo which would better represent our identity, mirroring our evolution. This new branding illustrates our current fights and will inspire future ones.
In short, for our 10th anniversary, we are revamping our logo and are eager to share with you the next pages of our story:
This identity aims at showing and expressing our new offensive approach.
At Envol Vert, we call it our second leg on which we stand strong or the other wing of our butterfly.
In addition to our field projects in which we offer local solutions to fight against deforestation, we now boldly address the root causes and firmly call those responsible for this deforestation out. Our outrage is today translated into actions.
Our first strong action involves the French food retailer group Casino. After a year of relentless investigation, and together with the support of many French and international organizations, Envol Vert is bringing forth a legal action against the leader of food retailers in Brazil and Colombia for failing to comply with the law on “the duty of vigilance of parent companies.” Yes! The Casino group is selling, in its stores of South America, goods produced from deforestation. This must end now!
This is proof that a small NGO like ours can have a significant impact. We know there is still a long way to go, yet we have no other choice but to keep on fighting.
This is why, more than ever, we need you, your encouragement, your outrage, your skills, or your financial support. All together, we can aim higher and get from political and economic players decisions and acts at the level of both the stakes and our collective responsibility towards our natural heritage.
