The year 2020 has not been easy for forests and biodiversity: global pandemic, historic forest fires, lack of volunteers in the field, the environmental cause has once again taken a back seat…
But Envol Vert has been able to reinvent itself, to adapt and to continue its fight:
In Colombia, a new project in the heart of the Andes Mountains was born for the reactivation and preservation of peasant activities in the Socotá region.
After nearly 10 years of promoting economic alternatives to our program participants, the Tamandúa brand was born; ethical and at the service of rural communities.
In Peru, the context allowed the field teams to think about integrating conservation as a complement to our restoration activities. In this sense, several activities have been deployed.
In France, the second promotion of the APMA project was accompanied with the objective of revalorizing the ancient and local biodiversity of the Tarn.
On the campaign side, the report “Casino (eco)responsible for deforestation” has made a lot of noise, leading to the creation of a coalition of 11 international NGOs in order to put pressure on the Casino group regarding its actions in South America.
Find out more about these actions in the 2020 progress report.
