Coordinator of the “Au pré de Mes Arbres” project

It was during a volunteer work in Togo that Lucille discovered agroforestry and its main limitation: land.

When a farmer plants a tree, he plants a piece of himself, a part of his soul because he plans to come back in 10 years to harvest the fruits. And the landowners don’t want that,” explained a Togolese farmer in 2017.

After this experience, Lucille is convinced of the interest of solidarity projects of reforestation and forest preservation. She continued her studies at ENSAIA, an agricultural engineering school in Nancy, and in her final year she chose to specialize in sustainable development of agricultural sectors. In order to learn about project management approaches, she also joined the master’s degree in Business Administration.

The object of her final year internship was the development of agroforestry in the Occitanie region. This is where she discovered the actions of Envol Vert and the project Au Pré de Mes Arbres, which she has been coordinating since October 2020 alongside Boris (co-founder of the association)
