Nicolas grew up in Fontainebleau forest where he spent countless days profiting from the trees around him. Following an MSc in International and Tropical Forestry and projects in Burkina and the Philippines, he felt the calling for a more direct relationship with the earth. After discovering Permaculture in 2011 and inspecting multiple sites he finally co-created an eco-space in Tarn in early 2013. His passion extends from natural forest management, fruit tree behaviour and gardening to eco-building, community living, self-learning and the local transition movement (self-sufficiency).

In 2015, he discovered Envol Vert and left for Colombia to contribute to the field projects there: training, community construction, plot design…today he splits his time between fieldwork and running workshops on permaculture and agroforestry.
